The YAS-62II professional model alto saxophone and the YTS-62II professional tenor saxophone replace the YAS-62 and YTS-62, respectively. Both models come with the popular G1 neck, which is very open and free blowing. Annealing used in the manufacturing process gives the horns quick response, and updated pads with a silicon treatment make them more durable. The saxophones also include a lightweight case with a carrying strap.
For many players, the 62 is the instrument that put Yamaha saxophones on the map," says Kurt Witt, Wind Instrument product manager. "Fans of the classic 62 Series won't be disappointed with the new horn. Even players that haven't tried Yamaha in a while will likely be blown away by the responsiveness of the new 62II."
