Product Description
Yamaha
The Yamaha YTR8335LA / YTR8335LAS LA Series Custom Bb Trumpet was developed in cooperation with famed LA studio veteran Wayne Bergeron. Designed for players needing an open instrument that is flexible and free-blowing, this trumpet takes the same bell of the Yamaha 8301Z trumpet and adds a large bore tuning slide and a Malone MB1 leadpipe. Perfect for the needs of both the soloist and the lead player in the trumpet section. The Yamaha YTR8335LA / YTR8335LAS LA Series Custom Bb Trumpet includes a case and mouthpiece and is available in lacquer (YTR-8335LA) or silver (YTR-8335LAS) finish.

Most responsive horn I've played

Right out of the box the first thing I noticed was that the valves were glassy smooth like my old 1966 Bach Strad and incredibly fast. I have played now for 38 years and this has to be the most responsive horn I've played to date. The sound is clean and pure and the horn slots well in all registers. I had been playing a Kanstul 1500 copper bell and really liked the way it played, but the Yamaha was remarkably better in clean attacks and sound quality. This horn seems to be the answer for someone looking for an all around horn that does just about everything well. I've had difficulty putting the horn down once I start playing and I seldom go back to the Kanstul even though I've always enjoyed playing it. You really need to try this horn if you are looking for one horn to meet 99% of all your playing needs.
