I ordered this violin separately along with accessories, soft case, and bow. I am a complete novice with the violin, but wanted to learn, so I did a lot of on-line research as well as visits to retail music stores. The price on this violin is fantastic and it is beautifully handcrafted. I 'm not sure I like the particular steel strings that came on it, but those are easily replaced. It does have a rich, mellow tone, with plenty of voice if required. The instrument is everything it is described to be. I am very pleased with its looks and its details. All top notch. The violin was shipped regular shipping and I received it within the time period advertised. It was well packed and didn't experience any rough handling that I could tell from the container. I am well pleased with my purchase from Woodwind/ Brasswind.

I have now purchased 3 Dancla violins for my daughter to use at school - a 3/4 and two 4/4. All three violins have been excellent quality and sound wonderful. The orchestra instructor has also been very satisfied with the performance of these units. In fact, these violins hold their tune for much longer than many of the more expensive units that the really good students purchase. This drives her crazy - having to adjust the tune in the middle of a performance!

I would never consider myself a violinist but after 20 years of not playing my beautiful Dancla sounds better than ever. My teacher has a custom instrument and even though I am a rank beginner my violin sounds bright and sweet.
