I had been using Slide-O-Mix for many years, but a couple years ago I switched to Rapid Comfort. When regular Slide-O-Mix is applied correctly it is very good, but it is difficult to get the exact right mix with the two bottles. It also causes problems if you use too much. (Most trombone players are of the philosophy that if a little is good, a lot is better) This stuff solves both problems. Just put it on, with or without water, and it works well, and for quite a long time. You will not have to re-apply it during a concert or practice.

I once had to use an old school's trombone and the slide was terrible (I thought) so just washed the slide and tried this and the slide moved with ease.
