My husband and I and all my students use these products, and got our instructions direct from the Slide Doctor in Atlanta. First wipe off your slide, and if possible, flush with water. Then apply the cream lightly to each stock, and rub it up and down with a cupped hand. Then replace the outer slide, and run that up and down a few times to coat the inside of the outer slide. Next, WIPE OFF the stocks to get rid of accumulated cream. At this point, put a dime-sized drop of the silicone oil on each stock, and run your cupped hand down and around each stock. Follow the same procedure as before with the outer slide, and then wipe it down again. Spray with water, and honestly, you're good to go with just water for a week if you play a lot, or even longer if you do not. We found that Slide-o-mix required thorough cleanings a lot more often than this process does. The trick really is to refrain from applying too much of any product, and to wipe off the excess.

This stuff is the best slide cream/lubricant of all. Some guys say that slide-o-mix is the way to go...they're wrong. After about a day or so slide-o-mix crystalises on your slide and takes a lot to get off. Anyone who says superslick has resistance dose not know how to apply it properly. First you take the outer slide off and get a BIT of cream on the stockings (end) of slide. Then you must rub in the slide all the way down unit you can feel the inner slide get warm, then do the other side. After the cream is all in there, you should be able to tell if you have put too much on - by if you can see a finger print on the inners if you touch the slide. If too much is on, then just wipe of a little with a rag. Then spray slide with water, until it beads up. Then what I do is to put Conn formula 3 silicon liquid on (only 2 drops) and rub in. If you do all these steps correctly and it is not working, then there's a good chance your slide is out of alignment. Good luck - this stuff really works.

This was the first slide lubricant I was introduced to and I've used it for some time now. It's ok, but recently iIve seen the light and switched to slide-o-mix,which is amazing. I find that it's a bit gunky at first and it takes alot of water and some time to work in. It has some strange moments where there is some resistance which drove me crazy. This stuff is always nice to have as a back up, but seriously, go with slide-o-mix.
