I just got this bass last week but I am in love. It's got that underlying growl and punch that is perfect for slap, and that low end growly punch is perfect for cutting throuh the mix of distortion. The only down side is that it cannot be customed and doesn't come in a 5 string model.

This Bass is amazing. I bought it as a first time bass, and wow. First off, it looks like something you could pay 800 plus for. It has great neck action too - tunes well. Seymoure Duncan pickups are a huge bonus. I'd definitely recommend this bass as a starter or even advanced instrument. Well worth the money.

It's really cool looking. Just like all of the Fender Basses. I am an "Old Head" just starting out (Two Years). The bass was the next logical step up for me (I had the Ibanez Bass pack). It has a good heavy feel to it, just like all of the other Fender Basses, and the neck is just as quick (I also brought the new Rumble 100/210-It's cool too!). I am now ready to go out and audition/play with my church folks.
