This is the pickup that came in my HSS 1987 Kramer Pacer Custom. This pickup does it all: smooth light distortion to hard rock sounds. IMHO, the best all around humbucker I've heard. Really nice tone. If you want something purely for loud, get something else. This pickup is loud enough, but the tone is full and complex. So if your playing has matured to the point that tone is your goal, this humbucker will give you plenty to investigate.

This is a great pickup for overdrive and distortion. I don't see why anybody would need to buy one of those distortion pickups because, man, I tell you this thing is sweet with overdrive and distortion. The clean is pretty good but i usually use my middle and neck pickups for clean so i don't really care about the clean on this as much.i have a strat i made myself and this is on the bridge along with my vintage noiseless on the neck and middle.this pickup sounds great and i would highly reccommend the vintage noiseless fender pickups too.if you play 70's and 80's rock and metal this is perfect in my opinion

I recently bought a Suzuki Les Paul (discontinued now, but if you can find one, look past the motorcycle namesake and judge it as the great guitar that it is) and was looking to replace the stock pickups, which were unimpressive. I got this put
