I compared this horn against several Cannonball and Yamaha models, and I can say that this horn had the cleanest sound throughout the entire register. The Cannonball's had a more "muffled" sound to them but as soon as I blew into this horn the difference was quite clear. I enjoy a "bright" sound with a bite to it and this horn delivers. I have read several other reviews stating that this horn plays and sounds better then the Mrk VI, and I have to agree. Also the carrying case that comes with this horn is a top notch gig bag which solved my dilemma as I already am carrying an alto and soprano with me. Like I said, I would stack this horn against any in its price range. Now let's see how it holds up over the long haul.....
