The tuner is chromatic, has the lights to indicate "in tune" (green) and not in tune (red), and the LED needle to show how far flat or sharp the instrument is are a must . The price is affordable and I have recommended Sabine MT9000 metro/tuners to my students for their compact size and ease in use practicing. I like the volume control on the metronome and have turned it backward so students can just listen to it. I own three MT9000's and use one at my music teaching area continually.

I bought this tuner/metro about a year ago because I was one of the drum majors at my school. I wasn’t able to hear but only one tempo that I needed because all the rest are in between the tempos that the metronome gives. This problem is very inconvenient when the band director wants the correct tempo. The tuner however did work very well for me and the pitch producer is like the best part about it. My major instrument right now is oboe which is a devilish instrument to put and keep in tune, but this tuner helped me a lot. But, a couple of months ago at one of my honor bands, it croaked on me. I was using it and it would voluntarily switch from the tuner to the metronome and then it would turn itself off. I tried replacing the batteries but even that didn't work. In conclusion, if you're looking for a good metronome (like if you're a drum major or percussionist or a conductor) get a good metronome but this will do a fine job as a tuner and metro for at home practice.

This is a good tuner/metronome for a beginner/intermediate player or for someone who needs one quickly for a decent price. It works well and it’s nice and easy to figure out. The thing that I like about it is that it is small and good size to put in a small case incase you travel a lot like me. I definitely recommend this one.
