Product Description
Rovner
The Rovner Eddie Daniels II Signature Ligature is like no other ligature in the world. Designed by Eddie Daniels and Phil Rovner as a professional ligature for both clarinet and saxophone players, this is the Originator. The collaboration of this ligature assures the performer complete tonal control and accurate intonation throughout all registers.

About Rovner Ligatures
Rovner Ligatures also greatly improve reed playability. Reeds that are totally unplayable on other ligatures will often perform well with the Rovner. The ability of the Rovner Ligature to extend reed life is unparalleled. More rigid ligatures actually hammer the cane fibers during vibration, eventually destroying the reed's tonal vibrancy. Not so with Rovner; most players find their reeds will play until the tips finally succumb to fatigue and fall apart!

Selecting A Rovner Ligature
Due to the design of the Rovner ligatures, they fit a wide range of mouthpieces. The above descriptions are general but are accurate for MOST mouthpieces. For more exact information regarding sizing, please follow the MORE INFO link above to read the sizing chart designed by Phil Rovner.

Works great-sounds stuffy

I bought one of these for my Selmer S80 C* Tenor piece and it’s a fantastic lig. Dark, smooth, great intonation. However, I also play on a metal Otto Link 5, so I purchased the Eddie Daniels lig to go with it, since the stock link lig is a piece of junk. This lig sounds decent, provides a great seal, but sounds and feels stuffy. Stuffy is really the only way to describe it. They sound fantastic on rubber, just not on metal.
