This is my first Dobro and I was contemplating a less expensive model which would have been fine as a starter instrument to learn on but settled on this because of the better sound and impressive look. It lays more level across my lap than the others I looked at because of the thinner body profile and the neck configuration. It seems like a well built solid instrument and haven't discovered any flaws or problems yet. I give it 5 stars because the low price doesn't seem to reflect the quality.
