This case is great for the protection of your horn and offers space for extras like music, but be prepared to lug the case around. It's awfully heavy, and can be a pain to drag from place to place.

The protection is superb. It is a little heavier than my old case, but much nicer.

I have really enjoyed using this case. The specific features of the case that I enjoy are the carrying strap and the extra pocket on the outside of the case for things like small music books and supplies, like tuner/metronomes. I especially like the soft look of the outside, yet the hard shell for protection underneath that you don't get with some "gig bags."

Excellent protection for your French horn

I bought this bag several months ago and have been very pleased with it. After having purchased a cheap gig bag from another company and having the bag literally come apart within 6 months, I decided to try this bag. While it is a heavier bag, the protection it offers is well worth it. The inside of the bag is well padded and there are no sharp edges to dent or mar the horn. The external pouch is large and the organizer pockets are wonderful. I have enough room for my oil, snake, strings, screwdrivers, grease and pencils in the small pockets which also saves me from having to dig through my bag and hope I can find what I need.
