A good little mixer if you don't ask it to do too much.

Not so very heavy on features, but is this necessarily a bad thing? For example, no onboard digital effects here, but at this price point they'd have to bite anyway. Peavey seems to have put the limited amount of money available for producing this thing into a limited set of good quality features. Balanced inputs, clean preamps, phantom power, aux channel - all make this a usable piece, even for pro applications. Here's what I've used it for: I prefer to use my own PA whenever possible, but sometimes using the house is the path of least resistance. My band plays a little joint in the neighborhood that's almost too small to accomodate the 4 of us, much less my PA, so I use theirs. Problem is, their mixer only has 4 inputs - not enough for all our instruments and mics. So I run all the vocal mics thru the Peavey and run that to a single channel on the house mixer - problem solved. Anyway, that's kind of thing this llitle guy can do for you. At this price, It might not be a bad idea to keep one of these in your kit bag just in case you need a few extra inputs.
