I love this mute! This is the best straight mute I've ever played. Mutec says the mute is designed to be free blowing & play in tune in all registers, and it does exactly that. It has great sound and great response in all registers and plays in tune, so you don't have to fool around filing down the corks like you have to do with other mutes. I like the sound of this mute so much that I actually spend a little of my practice time playing with it in my trumpet because it fun to do so! It doesn't have any of the "stuffiness" usually associated with mutes. Try this mute; you'll like it.
