I just received my 6 valve gold brass Miraphone Firebird F tuba and I can honestly say it is the very best F tuba I have ever owned (and I've owned over 10 F tubas!). With the low range-especially the low C- as good as that of any piston F tuba, flawless intonation, a rich 'beauty of sound’ throughout all registers, this instrument sings! The rotary valves are lightning fast, and the workmanship is pristine. The highest ranges of the tuba are effortless on this horn. As close to perfect as an instrument can be. Bravo!!
