This is one of the most popular Martin Models, it has all the martin sound, and workmanship. I sincerely doubt that you would be happier with a D-18 or D-28 martin. From the strip on the back to the abalone trim, to the fine free case, this is a ringing martin, with rosewood back and sides that will in years to come become hard to find. Truly a collector’s item that is not now in a collector’s venue. Buy this guitar it will become part of your life. Just bought it myself and I cannot tell you any truer.

I went looking for a D-35 and after playing everything on the wall I was walking out the door and saw a Martin on the stand and just picked it up to strum a quik chord. I was blown away by the volume and balanced deep punch it had along with even treble notes. I couldn't believe it so I played several 35's and 28's before settling on this one. It truly is worth the money and for playing in church through a PA, the Aura pick-up is awesome. If you're looking for a great guitar and not just a model # then go play one and you'll be very surprised. You may wonder why these are less expensive but have all the same woods, it has a satin finish instead of high gloss, Micarta fingerboard instead of ebony, other than that has the neck feel of a D-35. If an extra grand is worth it to you to have the extra flash then more power to ya'. I do love this guitar and it sounds better now than it did a year ago when I bought it.
