Very good sound from the reeds, but they were a pain when it came to wetting them enough to even produce sound. So as far as needing one on the spot cold turkey without wetting one first would be very unwise. Other than that gave a great tone, when I finally was able to.

This is a very good reed. Holds up very good, makes the best pitch.
