I've owned stands from most of the major drum manufacturers over the years, and of the current lot that's out there this one is one of the best, if not the best, in it's price range by far. In fact, it's just as good as many of the stands costing 20 or 30 bucks more. The memory locks look and perform outstandingly, and the stand itself is as stable as a rock. I suppose one might call it the "sleeper" of cymbal stands, because it seems that Mapex hardware is often overlooked. That is a shame, because if you want a stand that looks great, and can take the kind of abuse that we all know cymbal stands must endure, then you owe it to yourself to try one.
