Well I would have to say that this drum set is extremely well. made. One thing that I would recommend is new heads though. Sure this head comes with remos and all but I would recommend new ones in a good week or two. The heads that I recommend that you put on, if you want a low punchy sound for metal or rock, would be evans ec2 drum heads because they did the trick for me. If you want an open jazzy sound then put on some remo ambassadors because those did the trick for me to. Once you tune the set well with really nice heads then you have one rocking set. The snare drum(when tuned up high and proberly) can give off a very nice pop sound. Some people say they do not like the snare but I really disagree because once tuned well it sounds awsome. The toms can be very low, punchy,and extremely warm when tuned right or they can be very open and warm. The bass very deep and needs little tuning and should sound very nice. The hardware is very sturdy and stands up to a lot. I have been drumming for a good 7 years or so and if you really want a "pro" drum set without extremely expensive prices, then go pick this on up. You will not regret it.
