Frequently Asked Questions About Kelly Mouthpieces
How do KELLY Mouthpieces compare to old-fashioned brass mouthpieces? Sound is bolder! Feel is better! Price is fantastic! Colored, too! How durable are KELLY Mouthpieces? Made of Lexan ® polycarbonate, they're virtually indestructible! Won't scratch rim or dent shank if dropped! I'm a bit skeptical. Of course, you're skeptical. For 100 years we've all come to know brass. Now something NEW & REVOLUTIONARY in mouthpiece design & construction! Why are KELLY Mouthpieces better for outdoor playing? The material does NOT conduct cold or heat like brass mouthpieces. The temperature remains neutral to outside conditions. Why are KELLY Mouthpieces colored? Never before could you play mouthpieces with your school colors, band colors, or favorite colors. Now you can! |

I in fact was a little skeptical, but what better way to kill skepticism than to try it out. I purchased a 5G mouthpiece for my large bore trombone, and I was IMPRESSED! Not only does it look really cool, it sounds great! In fact the sound I get with his mouthpiece comes awfully close to the sound of my Bach Megatone. My crystal red mouthpiece is quite handy for trombone caroling with my trombone studio at Christmas time, and also for parades with the marching band, and football games with the pepband, or playing on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, or wherever it may be cold or hot! So I would say, for the awesome price, try one (or more) out.

This is just about one of the craziest mouthpieces I have ever owned! It comes in really neat colors, and along with that, it produces a very bold sound. Whenever I have a field show to perform in, I take out my Kelly mouthpiece because the cold does not effect the way it plays. All my friends always ask me if I'm going to use my mouthpiece because they all think it is really, really cool. It does take some time to get used to though, because of the fact its plastic. Not even the plastic part about it though changes my mind about this mouthpiece. It is a must-have for all band members seeking a new and fun way to play their instrument.
