The Kanstul CCT920S Custom Class Bb/A Piccolo Trumpet is high-quality, four-valve piccolo trumpet. The CCT920S features a .460-inch bore with a 3.8-inch bell plus an interchangeable cornet shank leadpipe. The small bell and medium large bore help produce a brilliant sound in a high register. The Kanstul CCT920S Custom Class Bb/A Piccolo Trumpet includes a case and cornet mouthpiece and is available in lacquer (920-1) or silver (920-2) finish.

What with the prospect of waiting on a list to get that "name brand" horn and then paying the "name brand" price tag for it, I began looking for alternatives. I tried them all, Bach, Yamaha, Besson, Olds...and I was not able to justify spending the money for an instrument that I knew was a compromise in tone and pitch.

The Schilke sound without the price tag!!

This is an excellent horn with 2 separate lead pipes for A and Bb, and a 3rd valve slide. The missing pinkie hook really wasn't that important to me but is an easy fix at any shop. I couldn't beat the quality and sweet intonation that this horn has especially on the A side! This horn is also a very free blowing horn in all ranges and has a very even feel in the upper register. All in all an excellent horn for the price. If you want the Schilke but really can't afford it get the Kanstul 920 Custom Class. It won't let you down!
