Product Description
Jupiter
No flute maker incorporates the preservation of tradition into the making of a modern instrument more than Jupiter. The handwork that goes into each Jupiter diMedici flute rivals that of the world's most expensive instruments. A sterling silver head joint combined with a silver plated nickel silver body makes the 911 series very affordable while still having the precision handwork and exceptional playing characteristics of a flute costing far more.
Product Overview and Specifications
Jupiter Quality and Design

diMedici Tradition
No Flute maker incorporated the preservation of tradition into the making of a modern instrument more than can be seen with Jupiter's diMedici series. The handwork that goes into each diMedici flute rivals that of the most expensive instruments in the world.

diMedici Research
Years of research has gone into perfecting the diMedici scale and mechanism design. This design is unique in that it preserves the aesthetic of a classic instrument by retaining features such as keys with sculpted French pointed arms. A feature not found on many brands today. diMedici artisans realize the great responsibility of this, for a key with French arms must have a perfectly seated pad or the aesthetic has no meaning. Exceptional care is also taken with the hand work required to accurately cut and shape headjoints, as well as adjust mechanisms precisely.

Jupiter Commitment to Excellence
The quality of Jupiter flutes is recognized worldwide. Because flutemaking is a combination of science and art, Jupiter constantly seeks the latest innovation in design and engineering to achieve ever higher standards in the manufacturing process. Leading players, teachers and artisans collaborate in the design and artistry that makes each Jupiter flute a truly great performance instrument.

Heritage
The heritage of JUPITER began in 1930 when KHS International, its parent corporation, opened as an educational products company in Taipei, Taiwan. The letters KHS stand for "Kung Hsue She" meaning "a company helping schools and culture". This simple definition still represents the primary goal of the JUPITER brand

Dedication to Dialogue
JUPITER maintains constant contact with performing artists, educators, repair technicians, instrument designers and our network of dealers to better respond to the requirements of music education and performance

World Class Reputation

I play many types of flutes, modern and ancient, and I recognize a certain feeling in an instrument that allows my inspiration to flow. I own a Pearl PFA-201 alto flute which I enjoy a lot but I found that the Pearl 665 concert flute that I tried for a month didn't have the effortless feel I was hoping for. Since I have been playing a Jupiter 611 as one of my flutes for the last 5 years and I liked it quite a bit I decided to instead try the 911 DiMedici at a higher price point and I found it noticeably better. The resistance of the D1 headjoint makes it very easy to create variations in tone color and loudness. The mechanism is quick and quiet and re-assuringly airtight. I would recommend this flute to anyone who desires a beautiful sounding instrument at a reasonable cost. I am certainly happy with my choice.
