Product Description
Jo Ral
For Bell diameter 8 1/2" or more. With its unique shape, this all-aluminum cup mute produces a smoother, richer sound for tenor trombones. Lined with a neoprene rubber rim that eliminates vibrations, the adjustable cup will never loosen or drop off. It is easily installed by simply moving the cup up to the desired length for a tight fit. The corks may be reshaped for optimal acoustical placement.
Product Overview and Specifications
CHECK OUT OUR FULL LINE OF JO-RAL MUTES

Made of the highest quality hand-spun aluminum, Jo-Ral mutes are designed and tested to perform evenly in all registers. Alternative materials used on the bottom of the mute create varying sound characteristics for special effect, giving musicians the freedom of artistic expression. Multi-propose all-aluminum mutes provide a bright muted sound, while brass-bottom mutes impart a slightly warmer, confidential sound ideal for smaller settings. For a darker, more mellow effect, copper-bottom mutes are the perfect choice. And all-copper mutes create a deep, rich, sound. Jo-Ral mutes also feature neoprene-enhanced composite cork pads that provide extra durability. The result is a more pliable cork that grips well and doesn't dry out, become brittle or break off - so it lasts longer while easily accommodating fine adjustments for a perfect fit

Fantastic Mute!

I recently purchased this mute for my Benge 190, and it has been absolutely wonderful. Before, I was using my school's humes and bergs. Those mutes didn't allow me to play loudly, as they would break up. This mute, however, allowed me to play to my loudest volumes without breaking apart, both in jazz band and in concert band. This mute works well for whatever style of playing. My only complaint would be that the lower register becomes more difficult with the mute, from low E down. It could just be that I haven't adjusted to the mute yet. Also, the open end often gets dented or deformed. The easiest fix: use your mouthpiece to get it back into shape. Overall, this is a spectacular mute that I will be keeping with me for a long time.
