Excellent 'starter' bass mouthpiece

By 'starter,' I mean if you are new to bass clarinet (like myself) this is a good one to start with before moving up to advanced ones. I've been playing soprano clarinet for about 20 years now, but I've been doing bass for only a year or so. With this mouthpiece, notes in the second register come out well even if you're playing a student-level horn like I am. The reeds I use are Vandoren 3's. The Jewel is a versitile mouthpiece; in other words it shifts well whether playing slow ballads or quick allegros. The stock ligiture is okay, but if you can, get a Rovner lig for an even more improved sound.
