Product Description
Jet Tone
The Jet-Tone Lip Protector is a cushion that is placed over orthodontic braces to keep the braces from coming into contact with the inside of the lip. Ideal for all woodwind and brass players and it is easy to install and remove as well. "Pain Free playing for students with braces."
Product Overview and Specifications
The Jet-Tone Lip Protector

Imagine
being able to blow a trumpet or clarinet without pain due to the cushion effect of the Lip Protector guarding against light pressures or accidental blows to the mouth and cheeks.

or
how nice it would be to wake up in the morning without canker sores caused by abrading brackets and wires. That's what the Lip Protector offers!

Instructions:
Insert total Lip Protector in its arch shape into the mouth. Then, starting at the mid-line, lightly press the hooks onto the archwire. If a hook does not line up, simply cut it off with scissors.

Not Just for Musicians
Playing light sports like soccer? Helps reduce injuries from braces and unlike a typical mouth-guard, you can talk, breath, even take a sip of a drink without removing.

This product has tremendously helped me to get back to an acceptable level of playing after getting braces. Do not expect to play perfectly with these after you get your braces because they take a few months of getting used to it. You also have to move them around on your brackets until they are comfortable, but nonetheless, they will keep you playing until you get those metal nightmares off.

I am a 6th grader who auditioned and got into 7th grade band. I recently earned the position of 1st chair and then a week later got my braces put on. Then I couldn't reach all of the required high notes because it hurt too badly and the wax didn't work for me. The director even moved me down to 2nd part for one of the selections because we were preparing for our local Festival. I was about ready to quit when I searched on the internet and found this amazing product! Within 2 weeks of using these lip protectors I was able to retest and earn back all of my 1st chair privileges! Yesterday, we earned Unanimous Superiors at our local Festival. My mom is ordering me an extra pair so I won’t be without over the next year.

Every student of mine who gets braces has tried the Jet Tone Lip Protectors, and everyone has been able to survive through their "braces years" while progressing in tone quality and technique. A must try item for any trumpet player sentenced to a couple years of orthodontia!

The lip protector gives you a soft cushion so you can play a brass instrument, or play a light sport. These protectors take a while for you to get used to them, but after a while you will sound like you did without braces. They're easy to put on, easy to wash and very durable. I have taken 3 accidental blows to the mouth with the lip protectors on and I never felt metal. Don't think of these as cheap - they are worth your money.

I think this product is absolutely innovative and also stunning. They've increased my range up to high C and D, even increasing the range of lip slurs. I absolutely recommend this to all low brass players with braces. The feeling and pain go away so you don't have to lip the notes up in the high range. Also, once you get your braces off the skill stays with you with your old embochure so that you will play even better. On the negative side, they tend to have less grip then the wax products but other then that you good to go!
