Product Description
Ibanez
GA series classical electric guitar featuring nylon strings, a spruce top and Piezo Transducer pickup.
Product Overview and Specifications
Ibanez GA5TCE

The GA series of classical guitars are traditional pieces, offering elegance, refinement, and subtlety. Additionally, the sofness and comfort of the guitar's nylon strings have made it a long favorite of instructors for their beginning students.
Just because you want to produce a classical sound doesn't mean that you have to have an ancient guitar. The GA5TCE combines today's construction and technological standards with a sound that will have your dreaming of the days of old. Don't misinterpret classic for old!

This particular guitar features a narrower neck and thinner body than a traditional classical guitar for easier playability and comfort.

A great acoustic jazz guitar

This Ibanez Ga5tce is great for playing jazz. I own the Ibanez Ga6ce and the Ga6ce is great for playing classical. This guitar (the Ga5tce) is slim -- thin body and narrow neck. It's great for practicing arpeggios and scales. The strings are close together so you'll have easy access between strings if you use a pick. If you use your fingers instead of a pick, the Ga6ce is better because the strings are wide apart. Also the neck is longer on the Ga5tce. Obviously, the Ga5tce was designed for the jazz guitarist. Another plus is knowing you can plug either guitar into an amplifier. If you play the Ga5tce without an amp, you'll get a great sound, and if you plug it in you'll get sounds from heaven. This guitar is great (the Ga5tce). Go ahead and buy one today.

GREAT GUITAR--NOT A TRUE CLASSICAL
Customer Rating

I bought this guitar fully knowing that it was narrower than a true Classic. That's why I bought it, for a few songs. Pretty nylon sound on stage and during recording sessions. in recording. If you play a steel string guitar and you want that sound without the wide neck of a classical like I did, then this is the guitar for you. The sound, when plugged, is even sweeter. This is a great guitar at this price. But, if you want a real classical guitar and you want to play finger style, then go for the GAA6 MODEL.
