Product Description
Gretsch
The utmost in striking beauty, luxurious styling, and peak tonal performance ...so boasted the original ad copy for this stunning beauty. But don't get blinded by the glitter and gold! From Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to AC/DC, the Gretsch White Falcon has made its permanent mark in rock history. Rich, complex tones come from dual high sensitive Filtertron pickups and a 17" wide, 2 3/4" deep laminated maple body. Gold hardware, multiple binding and Bigsby vibrato add the "flair that is so there". Includes free Gretsch G6242L Deluxe Hardshell Case - a $220 value.
Product Overview and Specifications
The White Falcon 1 was created for the serious pro who not only loves to play but really loves a fine electric guitar. Genuine 24k gold-plated hardware; hand-polished, multilayer white duco finish; gold inlaid and bound headpiece; ebony fretboard; and multiple gold binding on body, fretboard, and f-holes provide heart-stopping looks. Rich, thick tone comes from dual high sensitive FilterTron adjustable pickups with individual volume controls and a 17" wide, 2-3/4" deep laminated maple body. A B6GW Gretsch Bigsby trem bar permits classic chord vibrato and adds vintage jazz appeal. Hardshell case included.

In 1964 at age 12, I was privileged to own a Falcon. Paid $400 used. To this day, the guitar looks and plays wonderfully and has a tone unsurpassed. I have recently played a new Falcon.. Honestly there is no difference. A classic remains the same. You will love this Gretsch addition to the new family line. Details are impeccable and the action is great. Accoustically and electrically .....a gem!
