I have 2 private students who bought this bow along with the Ren Wei Shi model 8000 cello. It is a great bow to combine with this cello and not-too-bright strings. It has a metal tip so my students do not have to work nearly as hard to get a smooth, rich, even tone, as it is consistent in all areas, from the frog to the tip. I highly recommend this bow for those who are looking for a heavier feel and sound.
