I bought this pickup to put in the bridge position on my Ibanez SZ320 (mahogany set neck, mahogany body). It delivers a hot, but very clean output. When using the clean channel, this pickup is absolutely beautiful, and when using distortion, it delivers a lot of low end punch. The pickup's tonal response seems to deliver a lot of high and low frequencies, while having scooped mids. In other words, it's pretty much the perfect metal pickup.

This pickup is hot! It's aggressive and gives that professional sound that I wanted. It has so much attack, and strapped into my Ex, there is no other pickup for it. This one is, in my opinion, great for Strung Out kind of punk, fast, smooth, aggressive, and ooh baby does it sound nice. Actually its good for just about any rock, but if you want calm, relaxing, then don't get this. This pickup is truly made for those about to rock, and I do salute it.

I bought one of these bad boys because I have a Les Paul classic equipped with a 500t and a 498r and it sounds like the hammer of the gods. So I figured I could beefup the sound of my Ibanez sabre (which are notoriously thin sounding)by putting one of these in it. This pickup really did the job. My thin sounding Ibanez came alive with deep chunky tones and crisp highs. I would highly recommend this pickup for hard rock and metal players who want to thicken and define their sound.
