Product Description
Getzen
The Getzen Eterna 900S Classic Professional Bb Trumpet has been the workhorse of the Getzen trumpets designed in the early 1960s. The Getzen 900S Series features a .460-inch bore with nickel silver valves for superior action plus a 4.75-inch two-piece handspun bell with a wire-reinforced rim for excellent projection and tone. The Getzen Eterna 900S Classic Professional Bb Trumpet includes a deluxe hard shell case and mouthpiece and is available in silver (900S) finish.
Product Overview and Specifications

Originally introduced in the early 1960s, the Eterna 900 rapidly became the most popular of Getzen's professional trumpets. During 40 years of production, subtle design changes altered the instruments personality. Numerous requests from fans of the early 900 convinced the Getzen Company to go back to the original specifications and reintroduce the trumpet as the 900 Eterna Classic.

This classic design is exceptionally free blowing with excellent intonation. The Eterna Classic will serve working musicians and serious amateur players in a variety of music venues.

My Eterna 900 is actually one of the original versions, not the recently reintroduced "Classic", but I believe they're made to the same specs. Anyway, I actually inherited my horn from my wife whose parents thought it was a good idea to buy a professional horn for a high school kid. It had been sitting in a closet for almost 20 years, so when I took it out I wasn't sure what to expect, but after a good cleaning I was, literally, blown away! It has a wonderfully bright, brassy sound that works great for everything from be-bop to funk. Really great intonation throughout, just be a little careful with the 3rd valve in the low register. You may have to lip it just a tad. I highly recommend this horn for anyone who loves that big, bold trumpet sound!
