It is very a good, strong case that protects the instrument well. I did wonder when I first got it! But now its great!! Really very strong, but is rather a bit heavy. I'm sure you will agree that I would rather have case that is a bit heavier and protects the instrument, to a case that is much lighter case that dents and batters the instrument

I purchased this case for my wife who recently purchased a new French Horn without a case. This case proved it's durability and efficiency early on. Not much storage room, but certainly enough padding to protect the investment inside.

I bought this for a cherished Reynolds Chambers model. It fits perfectly. I've read the criticism from other reviews. I don't find the same to be true with mine. I've drug it around by the handles and the strap all over the place with mute bags hanging off of it and stuff in the outside pockets. My horn is a perfect fit. Other models may not be. My five year old son got caught standing on it lying on it's side. After a panicked scolding I found the horn inside to be completely undamaged. That's my two cents worth.
