I learned to play on this bass and it is still one of my favorites. This bass has only one "sound" and only has a volume knob but if you have a decent rig you should be able to find something that pleases you. Very solid, easy to play P neck with the more ergonomic Jazz body, I've dropped this bass several times with no damage. Mine came with a low action and was perfectly intoned; there was no fret buzz even with the low action. I did lower the pickups but that is the only change that I have made to date. If your not playing out of an Ampeg SVT you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, in fact you'd be hard pressed to find a better bass for the money.

My friend suggested this bass to me, and I'm a big blink 182 fan so I went to the shop and played this thing and fell in love with it. There is a rumor going around that bescause this bass dosen't have a tone knob that it's bad, but thats all lies, it dosen't need a tone knob thats how toney it is. It has a great punch and tone, great for playing live. I greatly recommend this bass to anyone who has the money.
