The EFA1 is the first alto flute I've ever owned. My only other flutes are C models (Gemeinhardt 2SP and an old Armstrong 104 student horn). I like the alto's volume in all registers, even down to the low end. Silver plating, construction, and finish all look very good. A few nit picks. The three keys on the foot are a stretch for right hand pinky finger. It's tricky to get low concert G without accidently hitting concert A# (Bb) key right next to it. I've noticed other altos have those three keys at a slight angle to make them easier to finger. Also, I bought the flute with a straight head joint... I may buy a curved headjoint for it later... to make balance and fingering easier.
