Product Overview and Specifications
The ESP LTD MH-400NT Electric Guitar is the perfect axe for high-powered rock and the guitarist who wants maximum sustain and no trem. String-thru bridge, set-neck with almost no heel, active EMG-81 pickups, 25-1/2" scale, and deep cutaway access to the top of the guitar neck. The MH-400NT has an Earvana compensated nut that puts it in tune, and Grover tuners keep it there, even when the strings are getting slammed. This ESP electric guitar has a quilted maple top on mahogany with see-thru black finish and black hardware giving it a look as dark and dangerous as the sound it puts out.

I wasn't sure about getting an ESP at first since no one I know had one but I did my research and thought this guitar would be the way to go for a guitar costing less that $1000. I was also aware of ESP's reputation and got the guitar based on that as well. I am not disappointed!! I just got the tremolo version of this guitar an it's great. The neck is fast, the licensed Floyd on it actually stays in tune and the thing it looks beautiful. I'm sure the non-tremolo version is probably incredibly stable on tuning since the trem version is this good. All the pictures of these guitars look different from the actual instruments as far as color goes so keep that in mind. In the pictures mine looked very bright blue but when I got it, it was much darker blue in color - beautiful. The EMG's have a great crunchy bite and I was surprised at how little feedback they generate. The guitar is smaller that you think, smaller than the usual strat configured guitar. It is light and had white binding all the way around instead of the natural binding on the body as was advertised - even better!. This thing looks and plays like a $1000+ instrument. Factory setup was good too. Of course, it's a metal/rock guitar but you could probably pull of some blues with it. I'm an ESP man from now on.
