E-MU's new PM5 Precision Monitor has been designed from the ground up to deliver hyper-accurate audio in a compact design. From its custom audiophile amplifiers (Class-A input and MOSFET output stages) to its world-class drivers and premium cabinet, the PM5 offers superior imaging and hi-end transient detail with linear frequency response rivaling compact nearfield monitors over twice the price. Professional features like overload protection, balanced/unbalanced inputs, and treble, bass and input sensitivity controls ensure that the PM5 will seamlessly integrate into any studio environment.

E-MU's PM5 Precision Monitor is designed from the ground up to deliver the most accurate audio possible in a compact design. Renowned audio-designer Jun Makino gave the PM5 custom audiophile amplifiers with Class-A inputs and MOSFET outputs; world-class 1" soft dome neodymium HF driver and 5" LF driver, in a premium cabinet. Its stereo sound imaging, transient detail, and linear frequency response is unmatched in its range. You also get overload protection with indicators, balanced/unbalanced inputs, and Treble, Bass and Input Sensitivity controls.The carefully tuned bi-amplified power section minimizes aural fatigue while maximizing audio precision for professional-level audio reproduction. The premium glass fiber low-frequency driver delivers outstanding linear response. The high-frequency driver is a soft-dome tweeter with a lightweight, efficient neodymium magnet. A flow-optimized port provides low distortion and articulate bass, while a 1" thick front baffle helps eliminate internal resonance. The cabinet's radiused edges reduce cabinet edge diffraction for superior imaging, and magnetic shielding keeps interference out of play. A dual-mode LED on the front panel shows power status and indicates when the overload protection circuitry engages to prevent damage to drivers. Balanced Neutrik combo jacks and RCA inputs provide connection flexibility. Treble, Bass, and Input Sensitivity controls allow you to calibrate the PM5 to your specific acoustic environment and set input levels.
