This pedal shocked me when I tested it. The gain coming out of this small pedal totally kicks. This pedal is great for those on a short budget. If your looking for something that has that heavy sound, this is definitely the pedal for you. The only thing I would change about this pedal is the small round button you have to stop on, I have trouble pushing it at times, but it finishes the job. Distortion can range from early 80's metal up to date newer heavier metal.
