Bb/F double horn.Symphonic model. "Geyer" style. Medium bell throat. The 11D produces a rich, but brilliant sound but with a slightly more open sound than the 10D.

A Great Horn At A Great Price

I was looking for a horn to replace my Conn 10D...a horn that made the same sound, only bigger. My 10D is a good horn, but I found that it didn't have the carrying power that I wanted, particularly in the high register. After trying a few other instruments and not being terribly impressed, I asked for an 11DS. The horn arrived in less than five business days and in perfect condition. The valves are nice and tight and fast, and there was not a scratch or dent to be found anywhere. The sound of this horn is exactly what I was looking for...a bigger, fuller sound with the bright color that is characteristic of a Geyer wrap horn. The 11DS is as responsive at all dynamic levels as horns for twice the price, and boasts an equally impressive palette of tone colors. The horn comes nestled safely inside a screw-bell case, embroidered "C. G. Conn" on the accessory pocket. My only complaint about the case is that there is no place for mutes. With the addition of an Alexander flipper and a few Amado water keys, this horn will be perfect for orchestra, wind ensemble, pit work, and small ensembles.
