Detailed Product Description

George Bundy moved to Elkhart, Indiana from New York City in 1927 after purchasing the H & A Selmer music store from Henri and Alexandre Selmer. A clarinet student of Alexandre Selmer, Bundy began working at the store in 1909. By 1911, George Bundy was in charge of the store, which he then purchased in 1927. In 1941, George Bundy created the Bundy line of instruments specifically for students. High quality, durable, reliable instruments with the Bundy name were quickly popular, and by 1948 more musicians were beginning their musical journey with a Bundy than all others combined. Today, the name Bundy is the most widely recognized name in student instruments worldwide. Begin your exploration of the wonderful world of music with a new Bundy instrument.

My daughter plays in the high school band, and she previously played on a secondhand flute we found at a garage sale. It was old and kept falling apart, and we decided to upgrade her to something new while she decides if she'll play in college. I have visited Woodwind & Brasswind's retail store before, and thought to look them up online. There were many flutes to choose from, but as everyone knows, money is especially tight right now and we really couldn't justify more than $200. We found the Bundy 300 series flute and ordered it, figuring we could always ship it back if her teacher decided it was junk. The flute arrived in a timely manner and we took it to her teacher for inspection right away. He was very pleasantly surprised! He played it and said it had a good tone for such a beginner-level instrument, and that it seemed sound, and now she won't have to worry about marching with an expensive instrument. We have had it for 4 months now and have not had a single problem with it. No adjustments were needed - though the teacher says it plays a bit sharp so she keeps the head pulled out. But my daughter is very happy and now we can save money at our leisure for a professional flute down the road. Thank you, Woodwind & Brasswind!

I had a Bundy flute when I played in high school and it lasted all four years through marching in the rain, being dropped, and even stepped on once! It was a very durable flute that was easy to play but more importantly, stood up to everything a high schooler puts it through.
