I play bari in my high school and all my friends told me that I would like a plastic reed, so I got a bari star and I love it. The reed is really good for jazz or big band charts it gives you more volume and a brighter tone I would recommend trying it at the very least

Absolutely great, I ordered a hard from WWBW, expecting a good consistent piece of plastic for marching band, but as soon as I put it on my ol' stocker marching band mouthpiece, my Bari came alive! It turned from sad no thrills bass line to growlin', screamin', tongue slapin' Bari goodness but when I slipped it on my vintage Brilhart tonalin piece with my school's old Conn, by gosh sake I was Gerry mulligan!

Having used successfully the Bari Star, I tried the Bari. It has all the features I like with the Bari Star. Although I love the Bari Star, this is like adding an AFTERBURNER to your Bari!!
