I play on this clarinet right now. It got me through high school. I bought it at the time when I did not know I would be majoring in music in college. It's almost 5 years old and still plays very well, but it doesn't get the sound that the professional clarinets get. For anyone that just wants a wooden clarinet and is not going to major in music in college or get that serious, it's a good clarinet for them. The sound is pretty decent and it's cheaper then other wooden clarinets, so for the money you're getting a pretty good clarinet. …if you do buy this clarinet though, I would suggest getting a different mouthpiece and looking at tuning rings or a different barrel as well. The barrel on this clarinet (that I got 5 years ago) is a little short, which caused me to go get a tuning ring for it.
